Hillary Clinton's 48-43 favorable rating is not really her all-time low in Quinnipiac's national polling:

That was 44-46 in May 2007.

But certainly for this cycle, after hitting 60%+ for a while in earlier polls.

How the hell does Paul Ryan have 69% name recognition. That's really embarrassing.

Wasn't he a VP candidate once ?

:P

Or do you think it's too low ?

Way too low, but then I remembered that he other 31% is people who have no opinion of Ryan, not necessarily people who have never heard of him. Same with Joe Biden having only 86% name rec...I'd be shocked if 14% of Americans don't know who Joe Biden is.

I'm sure there's quite a share of people out there who don't know him.

If it helps, 12% of Austrians don't know their Vice-Chancellor and Finance Minister (the most talked about guy in the news right now) and 26% don't know the Foreign Minister (also very heavily featured in recent news reports):

O'Malley should have higher name recongition. Jindal as well. He gave the '09 GOP response, doesn't anyone remember that? Doesn't anyone know Warren and her fight against Wall Street?

Not even 10% of the American population watches a "GOP response" ...

I wouldn't:

Similarly, I don't know why people would be surprised about low numbers for Jindal, Warren, etc.  Why would an average person who doesn't follow politics closely know who these people are?

Yeah, getting relentlessly hammered by the media for an entire month tends to hurt your favorability. It'll rebound next poll, if only slightly.

Republicans also outnumber democrats in the poll which , sure as hell won't happen in 2016. This is her numbers with a skewed midterm electorate, which is older, angrier and whiter.

Only in the unweighted numbers, which are used for the primaries.

For the GE, the weighted figures are used and there's a D+5 sample.
