Snyder (R) up 3 Post by: dmmidmi on August 01, 2014, 07:38:39 AM If any reasonable person were to take a guess at where the Gubernatorial and Senate races in Michigan currently stand, Peters by six and Snyder by three would sound completely reasonable.
But, now Rasmussen is showing Peters up by six, and Snyder up by three? Now, I'm not so sure about that. Title: Re: MI-Rasmussen: Gov. Though Snyder still has the advantage.

A 3-point lead for a Republican incumbent in Michigan is extremely shaky. A strong GOTV drive by Democrats, which usually appears around Labor Day if the race is tight, can often smash an early and puny lead by an incumbent. Count upon Big Labor and the large African-American vote to smash this 3-point R lead into smithereens. Unions will never forgive Rick Snyder for signing a Right to Work (for much less) law. Tea Party pols broke one of the usual agreements of Michigan politics that often allows Republicans a majority in the State House. Michigan is on the brink of becoming either the Massachusetts of the Midwest or the Oklahoma of the Great Lakes. Title: Re: MI-Rasmussen: Gov.
