No way Durbin is under 50%. This is probably Ras being Ras.

The last PPP poll had Durbin only at 51%. It's probably Ras being Ras, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Oh, I missed that PPP poll. Still, this is Rasmussen, so I'll definitely wait for another pollster to come out with numbers.

Yeah, Illinois is fairly inelastic IIRC and I wouldn't be surprised to see Quinn dragging everyone down this year. It'll probably be closer to 1996 than 2002.

His margin of victory will probably be cut in half from 2008, but it will still be significantly over double digits.

As I said elsewhere, Quinn can drag Durbin down to perhaps as low as a 12 point victory, but no lower. Oberweis is a MUCH stronger challenger than Sauerberg ('08 challenger) was, but Durbin remains very popular and is no danger of losing. Durbin's ceiling is probably his 2002 margin of victory (22 points). It's difficult to see him getting any higher than that given the state and national environment.

Durbin under 50?! Flip a coin, we've got ourselves a pure toss up here.

For the record, Durbin isn't even campaigning yet (other than for candidates in more competitive races). And Oberweis has so few resources that I haven't heard from him, either.

He's not worried.

Quit being ridiculous.
