Tillis loses 6%, Hagan gains 5% compared with last month's Rassy poll ...

Odd, since Ras tends to give better results for Tillis. Maybe the race really is moving away from him. It would explain him releasing that internal showing him tied.

Exactly. :P That was such an odd internal release.

I'm thinking that Hagan wins this one, at this stage, she should be able to lock in a lead.

So in the same day, PPP shows Ernst leading and Rasmussen shows Hagan with a 6 point lead? This is bizarre.

NO. Don't any of you pretend that Rassy is suddenly accurate. Pick a standard and stay with it. If this poll showed Tillis ahead by 6, we'd have had 4 people posting ">Rassy" and "It's happening!!!!1!" by now.

The NC race is a tossup. Hagan may very well win. But you don't get to throw out Rassy polls that show GOP candidates leading in battleground states, yet take them when they show Dems leading.

Rasmussen almost never shows numbers too favorable to Democrats, it's almost a Republican internal. It's good news if Hagan is leading in their poll.

Oddly Hagan leads even though "someone else" is only at 6%; Haugh has been higher in recent polls.

But, yes, I'm skeptical of this poll because of the fairly large swing.

If the GOP loses North Carolina they probably lose Iowa and Colorado. Still could win senate at 51-49 with Alaska but their majority would be doomed in 2016 from the first second the new congress takes office.

Why?  A bunch of those seats were picked up during a Republican year.  The Democrats could easily hold all the seats they did win, and possibly pick up Wisconsin, Illinois, etc.

I think you're just agreeing with him. He's saying the possible Republican majority is doomed.

Rasmussen also has Obama's approval rating in NC at 48%, which seems a little suspect.
