Title: MI: Mitchell: Land coming back?
Post by: Miles on September 15, 2014, 02:37:28 PM
Report. (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/docs/2014/Mitchell_MI_0914.pdf)

Peters (D)- 43%
Land (R)- 41%

FWIW, the last I heard of them was their MI-14 poll, (http://www.nationaljournal.com/hotline/new-poll-shows-new-face-leading-race-to-replace-gary-peters-20140731) which was way off.

I have trouble believing this. There is no way Peters is only getting 43% of the vote with an opponent like Land.

Miles, to answer the question you posed in the poll's title:

No.

Well this nicely discredits their governor's race numbers at least.

I'm not surprised. Mitchell Research is a thinly veiled shill firm for the GOP.

Their last poll also had Peters up 2, so nothing's changed...in their eyes. Mitchell is horrible though so it doesn't matter.

No and MI is clearly the home of the terrible front pollster.

538 wrote an article about Mitchell's poll. Apparently they did a poll before this, didn't like the results, so then did another one.

Snyder by 1 and Peters by 8 looks more realistic than the one they did release.

If we didn't know the partisan agenda of Mitchell Research's staff before, we now know for certain.
