This poll matches other polls showing Carson polling as strong as or stronger than any Republican. Republicans like Carson but most Democrats don't know who he is. That said, if NC looks like this then Virginia probably looks pretty good for Democrats. Even better than Wisconsin and Iowa possibly.

That's quite a leap when even the right wing Civitas institute showed it as a 1 point race regardless of who the Republican nominee is. Most of the state polls have Christie outperforming most of the rest of the GOP field in the North, but polling worst among them in the South.
