Title: Free Alliance/Alianza Libre
Post by: afleitch on July 29, 2015, 06:08:01 AM
()

(I now have more time to do this, now that 'the events' of last week are out of the way)

The NPE/PNE (Partido Nacional Ecuador) Free Alliance/Alianza Libre is a party dedicated to greater autonomy for the former republics of South America because reasons.

Basically, this is an emulation/parody of the SNP and other similar parties.

Why Ecuador? Wouldn't Brazil make more sense?

MANIFESTO LAUNCH.

It is the belief of the Ecuadorian National Party, that the loss of our sovereignty because of the shameful failings of those who call themselves 'Americans' is one of the greatest acts of treachery against the democratic system.

The ENP is a centre left party that seeks and will demand full federalism within this new national experiment for all former nations and subnational entities.

We will ensure that the best of what was left to us by the former glorious nations of South America is taken forward and that the excesses of the new conquistadors are left behind in the wasteland where they belong.

Is this party open to non-Ecuadorians?  The people of Suriname would certainly be in favor of such federalism, to preserve our unique (linguistic and otherwise) heritage.

Then we need a name change. I'll call it the 'Free Alliance' for now, given that's the name of the grouping in the European Parliament for separatist parties.

Sounds like an excellent name.  I'm a glad to be a part of the Vrije Alliantie.

If we wish to be a part of the coming election, you'll need to post a party list here: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=216218.25

I do think Brazil would make sense, because they have a different language than the rest of South America. They're the most natural fit for our Quebec, to make the analogy to Canada.

But the Free Alliance/Alianza Libre sounds like it's doing well without my unsolicited input. Good luck! :)

While I didn't vote for your list this time, I really hope you get to enter the Parliament and I'll join you after the current election is ended. :)

ˇPor una Alianza Libre entre los pueblos de Sudamérica! :D

Thank you to those who have voted or at least considered a vote for the Free Alliance.

For a powerful reformist voice cast your vote today.

What's your party's position on the controversial proposal to ban simultaneous office-holding in South America and Atlasia? So far the Pioneers are the only party opposed to the measure which critics have called "mutually assured destruction," while prominent members of the three largest parties have spoken out in favor of it.

Personally, I oppose it as long as both nations remain distinct entities. Should diplomatic relations be formalised, well that might require looking at it again.

Glad to hear it! My rationale is that, as you probably know, over at Atlasia we've basically came to the conclusion that 5 regions is too much for us to handle. So...why do people think we could handle 2 separate nations without sharing a few active players among both?

Disturbing.  Will none stand up for the constituent nations of South America?!
