Post by: Barnes on August 13, 2015, 09:23:04 AM
Who will govern South America? The poll runs for 24 hours.

The Workers Party, of course! Down with the capitalist parties and their lieutenants among the working class! Up with the working class! Up with world revolution!

Contrary to what Mr. Murica might make you believe, the Socialist Party is not committed to the world revolution.

The Conservatives stand ready to lead South America through its earliest days, offering strong leadership in contrast with the left-wing rabble of Marxists and Murica's fellow travellers known as the "Socialists".

I sincerely protest the notion that the Socialist Party be referred to as "Murica's fellow travelers". Mr Murica is a member of our National Executive, yes, but to no more extent could our party be called "Murica's fellow travelers" as your party could be labelled as "Potus' fellow travelers", the latter even more so as Potus is your party's leader and Murica, well, is Murica.

The Social Liberals are not a party bound by personalities; we are instead a party based on ideas. We are the only party with a comprehensive plan for the future of our nation - one that appeals to the commin man and everyday citzen of South America.

My dear comrade, Potus is indeed the Leader of the Conservative Party and I for one am proud to serve under him, let alone be considered a fellow traveller.

Is the Socialist Party rejecting its founder?

You're in the wrong party if you actually believe in any of the things you say you do, comrade. Join the Workers Party, the only organization actually committed to the overthrow of the bourgeois South American government and the immediate establishment of a Union of South American Socialist Republics!

At this point I might defect(Mostly due to the extreme moderation in the party rather then the radicalism that I wished to see), but we'll see after the election.

People of South America,  you can see for yourself the chaos and disunity that would result with a Socialist-led government. Only the Conservatives can provide strong and stable leadership for these difficult times.

Ah, so you've been sidelined in an intraparty power struggle, then?

Not so much a power struggle(considering I supported Cranberry and Crabcake, and mostly still do in the case of Crabcake) but kinda, I guess.

CrabCake needs to show leadership by expelling the, shall we say, militant tendency. If he cannot deal with the fringes of his own party how can he be expected to govern?

Projected Seat Totals
Conservative: 7
Socialist: 5
Social Liberals: 4
Workers: 2
Pioneers: 2
Whigs: 1

Placing the Conservatives in a fairly strong position to form a coalition or perhaps lead in a minority government.
