Round one closed, the following three counties are eliminated:

8 Berkshire
6 Buckinghamshire
5 Surrey

The following received points but stay in game:

3 Essex
3 Kent
1 Oxfordshire
1 Rutland

ROUND 2:

Eliminate one county in the South West region and one in either of North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber regions, as per the European NUTS-1 definition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_England) (scroll down to see a map for clarifcation)

This is to avoid the usual of all the home counties being eliminated first and have the ones in the West Country and in the North survive until last.

South West: Wiltshire
North: Lancashire

I'll leave this open for some time, until we have something to break the tie.
