Ugh, Georgia is always so close but fools gold at same time.

But demographic shifts are changing so rapidly there, that I am confident Democrats will breakthrough with a statewide victory within the next few elections, by 2020.

Democrats were dumb to not run a better candidate here. Would have been winnable with a Nunn or a Carter. :(

How is the weird hat guy who hasn't even been endorsed by any of Georgia's legendary democrats getting this close? magic? or the $3 million he's spent so far?

Probably the fact that there are very few swing voters in Georgia.

it probably also has to do with him being white

If Nunn/Carter had run again and Isakson had retired, maybe this would have been winnable.

Even if Barksdale and somehow come out ahead on election day, he'll lose the runoff.
