The problem you are making here is expecting a Michigan poll to make sense. And also the crosstabs in pretty much any poll, anywhere aren't supposed to be taken too seriously... You'd expect it on major news website comment sections but people on here should really know better. Also him leading by five with whites and being down 5-8 makes sense in a state where 80% of voters are white and most minorities are African American.
