Title: GOP more liberal Dems more moderate
Post by: Lincoln Republican on July 22, 2005, 10:29:53 PM
The year is 2008.

For some strange reason, the Republican Party has begun to trend more liberal and the Democratic Party has begun to trend more moderate and conservative.

The official Republican Party nominates
Sen Lincoln Chafee (RI) for President
Sen Olympia Snowe (ME) for Vice President

The official Democratic Party nominates
Sen Harry Reid (NV) for President
Sen Blanche Lincoln (AR) for Vice President

The now smaller conservative wing of the Republican Party is outraged, and they nominate as an Independent Republican ticket
Sen Bill Frist (TN) for President
Sen Rick Santorum (PA) for Vice President

The now smaller liberal wing of the Democratic Party is as well outraged, and they nominate as an Independent Democratic ticket
Sen Russ Feingold (WI) for President
Sen Joe Biden (DE) for Vice President

How would this election turn out?
What would a map look like?

well, this is a very interesting combo, and i would love to see a map, but sadly, i cannot make it on account of i dont know enough about state trends quite yet. i would look quite stupid.
