Now that the field has been more or less settled, who would you cast your vote for in the French presidential election on April 23?

Gotta be Macron for me - polling strong against Le Pen in the second round, and much closer to me politically than Fillon.

Fillon. He's a crook but this is France we're talking about. And this probably is the only chance we get to elect someone as conservative as him in France. But I wouldn't mind if the LR replaces him with someone else.

Macron easily. He can defeat Le Pen, and he doesn't seem to be corrupt like Fillon, or a hopeless throwback like some of the more "old left" candidates.

Macron, easy vote. Interesting and pragmatic choice.

     Le Pen, I guess. I really hope LR replace Fillon, since I don't think Le Pen can beat Macron.

Hamon with great enthusiasm. There is no reason for him not come in second if people would just get in line

Macron, with Hamon being my second preference.

In the next round, Hamon. If it's Macron and he somehow loses to Le Pen, the far left will again claim that it was neoliberalism that lost, not them. Just run a far leftist and we'll win, they'll say. Only if Hamon actually gets a face off against Le Pen will we finally get to test their hypothesis. Also, Hamon would be harder for Julian Assange to oppose- there is a large contingent of leftists who aren't bothered by Assange nuking Hillary, but would be harder to justify themselves if he nuked Hamon. Hamon would force those people to either recognize that Assange is evil, or abandon their principles. And if Hamon actually gets in, it will be a test of "anti-neoliberal" government. The results of that would be useful lessons to other leftist parties. That said, anyone is better than Le Pen.

Fillon is by far the least worst choice. Macron would be a distance second choice for me. Ultimately, in the second round, I'll likely support anyone not named Le Pen.

Why would anyone vote for Hamon? Do you want Le Pen or Fillon to win?

Because I'm f**king tired of having to choose between two awful neoliberal goons and for the first time in 15 years the PS has a candidate who deserves to bear its name.

If he fits the bill, then him.

Prefer many of the proposals of Arthaud and Poutou, but would consider joining with either Melenchon or Hamon if they pushed high enough support and if either reached 3rd in the polls.

Poutou, though Hamon is a good one.

Hamon is my first choice. But in practice I would vote for whoever of Hamon and Melechon are polling higher on election day.
