Title: Smallest popular vote margin in a state? Post by: TML on May 16, 2017, 10:35:04 PM What was the smallest popular vote margin in a state? I know that 2000 had NM decided by 366 votes (0.1%) and Florida by 537 (0.0%), but were there narrower margins than these?

MD, 1832: Smallest presidential margin in terms of raw vote (0.01044%; 4 votes) Fun fact: the second smallest presidential margin in terms of raw vote was also in MD - in 1904, with a margin of 51 votes.
