I really should get back to that... Title: Re: Patton survives his car accident and is GOP candidate Post by: big bad fab on September 08, 2005, 03:42:14 PM Sorry, haven't seen your marvelous topic. You've got all the copyright...
I send your story to a friend. Patton is fascinating, but I agree it would have been a mixed, if not risky, presidency... God save us! Hard to imagine MacArthur as VP of a Patton president, even if it would have been like a fine movie... Puzzling to see the present result of the poll: this site is a bit more Dem than Patton (!) and yet he leads the poll! Everything is possible, after all. Truman - 419 Patton - 74 Thurmond - 38 Title: Re: Patton survives his car accident and is GOP candidate Post by: Lincoln Republican on September 26, 2005, 06:31:18 PM Harry Truman wins.
George Patton was too much of a loose cannon. The electorate would never go for Patton as President. I pretty much agree with Ted Stevens map. Had Patton been President, however, it certainly would have made for interesting times in America and around the world. Title: Re: Patton survives his car accident and is GOP candidate Post by: The Constitarian on October 04, 2005, 05:48:17 PM Patton was a brilliant general, but he was also a complete lunatic. If he had become president we would have nuked Moscow, Paris, and London and declared war on the Eastern Hemisphere.
