I mean a 7 and 9 point lead would suggest that he is favored for reelection? Not sure why this is controversial.

TX-Gov isn't going to flip in 2018, but it's encouraging regardless.

Yeah, I don't see why this poll is all that favorable to dems. Cut the undecided, and allot a few for 3rd parties, and you basically have Trumps margin in 2016, maybe a tiny bit more favorable for abbot. Which in a dem leaning year is probably what one should expect when a popular governor is running for reelection in a state where Trump is deep underwater. So yeah, basically confirms the safe R rating.

Abbot is safe until we see more data confirming its close.

Yeah, junk.

Honestly this seems pretty reasonable. I have no doubt Abbot wins but I'm curious about what these numbers mean for Cruz' election chances. Abbot is way more popular than Cruz.

Nathan Deal was very popular in 2014 and only won Georgia gov by 8.

Lincoln Chaffee had a 65% approval in 2006 and still lost by 5

Abbot isn't has safe as many would like to believe he really messed up with preparing Houston for the Hurricanes he probably won't go down but its not impossible

That lead is way too small. He will be re-elected in the double digits.

No he did a great job with preparing Houston, he even told people to leave before the hurricane struck, but Sylvester Turner told them to stay.

Is this the same poll as the Senate race? This makes the other seem way less believable.
