Title: Massachusetts in 2004 without Kerry
Post by: DPKdebator on May 21, 2018, 05:46:16 PM
How would Bush have performed in Massachusetts in 2004 if the Democrat wasn't John Kerry (or in that case, another MA Democrat)?

Remember that the last Republican to win any counties in MA was Bush Sr. in 1988.

At the very least, it would still have been a shutout in terms of counties.

It would’ve never been competitive. NY and New England (other than 2000 NH) were the bluest parts of the country in the 2000s, much bluer even than CA and the Pacific Northwest.

Many people forget NH could’ve flipped 2000.
