Never heard of this pollster. If I have, I really don't remember about them.

It's a Republican poll that only had Brown ahead by 1 point in 2016.

Sleeper race. Brown hangs on because of environment, but she would have been toast if Clinton or Cruz were president.

LOL, good times. Funny how many people actually took it seriously.

This is the result of the tax hike bill, voters want her to veto. Same thing in CT, Ned Lamont is threatening to raise taxes.

From what little I know about her, Brown seems to be a very lackluster and uninspiring Governor (to say nothing of her liberalism), while Buehler seems like a decent, moderate Republican. But unfortunately, she will win because of the environment, as you said.

Why would she be toast if Cruz were president?  Isn't it the same dynamic, basically, her being from the opposite party as the president makes her safer?  Or do you think a Cruz midterm would turn out significantly better for the GOP than a Trump midterm?

Brown +2 in their final poll of the race. And that was closer than most other polls.

This poll doesn't move the needle for me, but I wish we'd get more on Oregon. Maybe this will bring some attention.

I hate to say it, but the Republican has a huge name advantage here. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a classic movie beloved by everyone. “Brown” by contrast is a boring name and evokes no good memories.

LOL, not gonna happen, much as Atlas wants Oregon to be competitive. I believe that this pollster also has Clinton beating Sanders by 15 in the primary, if my memory serves me correctly. Polls in Oregon often overestimate Republicans as well, since polls had Romney only slightly behind Obama in 2012.

Quote from: Eugene Weekly
"Buehler, an orthopedic surgeon, said he would support a single-payer, Medicaid-for-all system. 'I would like to see that, as long as the state can afford it, everyone in the state of Oregon is guaranteed a basic level of health care, and then allow people to buy up from that level.'

However, Buehler said that a single-payer system is a 'qualified right … I don’t think it’s an absolute right.' There may come a time when the state can’t afford health care coverage, he added.

'I think that core component is our society right now is wealthy enough to provide a basic level of health service,” Buehler explained. “There may be a time when we’re not — that’s why I don’t like to make it an absolute right. I don’t think we can make those kinds of absolute rights.'"

Why's he a Republican, then?  Tax cuts and deregulation, I'm guessing?

This race honestly is close and the Oregonians on here likely know it, Kate Brown hasn't been running many ads yet though, while Knute Buehler has been airing them every hour (and half!) on all of the news stations and so on, I think Kate Brown wins by 2ish points in the end.

This race is competitive but, this pollster is pretty trash. As MT Treasurer pointed out they're the same masterminds that had Trump up 2 in Oregon, lol.
