Title: What countries hold NO elections, not even sham elections?

Are there any that still exist in the world?

Saudi Arabia has none at the national level, but has some local elections.

Oman has I think a “consultative assembly”, but as the name implies they are primarily an advisory body. No elections, sham or otherwise, are held regarding the positions with actual power.

Eritrea hasn't held an election since 1993.

Brunei has no elections. It has a legislature but the members are all appointed by the Sultan.

Similar to Brunai, the members of Qatar's "legislature" are solely appointed by the monarch.

In the United Arab Emirates, half of the legislature is directly appointed by the emirs, while the other half is elected by an electoral college whose members are appointed too.

The Vatican only holds elections when their head honcho dies or (very rarely) abdicates, but even then the franchise is limited to at most 120 men who were appointed by the previous Popes. And they don't have any elected legislature there either.

Palestine hasn't had an election above the local level since 2006, even though the "current" presidential and parliamentary terms have long been expired.

China's national legislature is formally elected by the legislatures of the provinces which in turn are elected by the legislatures which come below that. The only direct elections in China are the most local ones.

They're holding sham elections of the "you're voting for us or we're gonna kill you" kind:

The next one is in fact scheduled for March 10 this year.

As BRTD mentioned, aside from some absolute petro-monarchies, Eritrea is the only country that doesn't bother with elections. None have been held since independence and there's no indication any will be held any time soon, aside from non-committal noises from pro-government sources.

The Vatican? Unless the Conclave counts.

I love that they even have paper "loyal opposition" parties like East Germany did.

Yes, we have an appointed body that acts as legislative, executive, judiciary, jury and executioner.

That's pretty standard in China. And look, a handful of the 2980 members of parliament even voted against some of the leaders. Of course none dared to vote against Xi.

Actually, Eritrea had its most recent "local" elections 2014.

As of national elections, Isaias Afewerki himself said "Eritrea will wait three or four decades, maybe more, before it holds elections. Who knows?"
