When Ohio missed, it missed a close race.

When Missouri missed, it missed a landslide.

Ohio

Though Delaware and Nevada also only missed 1 election in that timespan, and Nevada was probably a bigger swing state than Ohio.

Ohio always had a consistent Republican lean with everything, Missouri actually shifted a bit between poles.

EDIT: Ohio voted for Nixon in 1960 by much more than Missouri went for Stevenson.

Probably Ohio. But I can see why people would say Missouri as that was a swing state for a whole f-cking century basically

Ohio, but Delaware and Nevada were better bellwether states than Ohio.

Delaware never missed an election until 2000, while Nevada only missed one election (1976) with a Democratic candidate who was a horrible fit for the state at a time where the state was trending Republican.
