How can I upload photos from my computer to the atlas for posts?

You mean posting the photos you want without this being regulated by the moderators' anti-picture rules, right?

Upload to https://imgur.com/ and then link to them from here using

However, avoid posting images from stock photo websites and/or ones that are watermarked / copyrighted by their authors.

Because that's not the actual image link. You used the link to the imgur post, which is not the same. The link should end with something like .jpg, .png, etc.

Right click the image on that page and click Copy Image Location / Copy Image Address
