Title: If Dole won in 1996, would the Lewinsky affair have ever been revealed?

And if so, how would people react with Clinton no longer in the White House?

Considering that as late as 2004, many were outraged about the Super Bowl halftime show, I would guess most Americans over 30 would be more relieved they didn't re-elect him.

Of course, a lot of votes would have had to switch for Dole to win in 1996.

I love these alternative history posts. I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this, but did you catch my "2000: A Different Aftermath" post under Past Election What-ifs? Basically, Gore wins FL by around 20,000 votes, but loses IA-WI-OR, resulting in the same 271-267 EV defeat as IRL. Are FL's irregularities ever uncovered or seriously discussed, since they would not have affected the final result? (For example, the improbably high number of Buchanan votes in Palm Beach County, which alone probably decided the election for Bush IRL).

I'm thinking it would've come out eventually, but maybe not during Dole's first (only?) term.
