Nothing says "competitive primary" like one guy (Ray) winning 70% in two counties, winning 12 counties total, and finishing in last place with 7% in a six way race

Compare and contrast (primary on left, runoff on right)

The candidates

State Rep Gail Buckner of Clayton County
Darryl Hicks of Fayette County
Angela Moore of DeKalb County
Shyam Reddy of Fulton County (raised in Laurens county)
Scott Holcomb of Fulton County
Walter Ray of Coffee County

Hicks is African-American, Reddy is of Indian ancestry (and he still fared well), I'm pretty sure Moore is African-American too

My favorite candidates were 1) Shyam Reddy and 2) Scott Holcomb.  Pity they finished 4th and 5th, respectively.  Angela Moore was one of the most incompetent candidates I've ever witnessed.  She had an official campaign rap that I remember being discussed on this site at some point.  Reddy was a truly impressive candidate.  Too bad his skin is darker than the average Georgian prefers.

I think this is the first county map I've seen in which the winner of a county received >10% of the vote.  Lack of consensus is right.
