Title: Democratic primary (made up)
Post by: TommyC1776 on July 12, 2004, 03:41:23 pm
I'm going to make up a Democratic primary for 04 w/ mad up candidates.

Here's the candidates:

Roy Mitchell (Illinois)
Ted Little (Mivhigan)
Ernest Young (California)
Mike Saye (Delaware)
Alice Sanders (Florida)

Ideas on issues:

1) Mitchell
-favors abortion
-for stem cell research
-for same-sex marriage
-will get us out of Iraq ASAP

2) Little:
-against abortion
-same ideas as Mitchell on stem cells and marriage.
-will keep troops in Iraq for awhile

3) Young:
same ideas as Little plus he wants to legalize marijuana.

4) Saye:
-for abortion
against same-sex marriage but will accept civil unions.
The rest are the same as Little.

5)Sanders:
favors everything as Mitchell does

In a little bit I'm going to make a poll for the New Hampshire primary and everyone is welcome to vote for one of thes candidates.

None of these sound good, so I must follow my New Hampshire brothers of the 1964 Republican primary and write-in John Edwards.

Ernest Young got shot today by a anti-legaliztion of marijuana woman.  Her name is Rebbeca Storm and she's 50.  She has a lot of supporters and may not be sent to jail. Young is recovering, though.

Yes, absolutely.

My second round of polling was scheduled for the 23-25...but I think I'll just run the likely Silverhawk-Kirkland race to decide the nominee as soon as the polls close.

Then I'll run a poll with the remaining four as to who should be the VP, then we can run 'em. :)

A lot depends on who Kirkland or Silverhawk tabs as their running mate, I'd suppose then.

Roy Mitchell is considering an independent run.

That's fine.

I still need to run a poll to decide Governor Silverhawk's running mate.

How about we have a map like the Mock election on election day betwen Little and Silverhawk?

I'd suggest having the election spread over, say a week.

And yes, a mock election style Electoral College map would totally kick arse.

And do you want to have our candidates debate?  Each of us answering the GOP or DCC candidate's questions?

I'd assume that I'd control Silverhawk's responses, and K4P would control Little's.

Oh, and I'll be gone the first week of August, I say we have the election in mid-August then. :)

Saye/Sanders

Sanders would ensure the far left votes for Saye.  I'm assuming he wouldn't have as much name ID as Mitchell so he'd be less vulnerable to GOP attacks.

How about we have a debate between Little and Kirkland on the first one.  On the seond one we can have Little and Silverhawk debate and in the third (and final) one we can have all three of them debate
