No. He should have retired a few years ago.

He is left of my liking, but he was a leader, I think we're moving on to better things, (after Brown) but I grew up watching him, mixed feelings seeing him go.

Yes, I certainly will. I cannot believe how little credit he has been given for being the most successful leader in the history of our party.

I'm pretty certain that in a few months the ever-fickle British public will feel the same way I do.

Yes, going along with that I think Parlimentary systems are stupid.

Not a chance. Blair has been responsible for far too many ugly decisions to deserve a polite goodbye from me.

No, Despite my opinion of him going up slightly after his minor rant against the media. (A situation of course he helped to create, but he admitted that.)

I guess Blair is the labour equivalent of Harold Macmillian - very much the calm after and before the storm, plus his obviously political centrism of course.

I was probably a Blairite before Blair was. Were my party ever to abandon the centre ground then I'd seriously need to reconsider my membership

Thatcher killed any chance of my ever being a Conservative - and for that I, most sincerely, thank her - and no way in hell would I support the Liberal Democrats since I have convictions

So when all comes to all, Labour is the only option I have. Not voting isn't an option

As to the question, will I miss Tony Blair? Most likely

Dave

No, but I'm actually looking forward to Gordon Brown, although I doubt he'll last very long.

Absolutely. I am not exactly a fan when it comes to his domestic proposals but I greatly admire the man for what he did on the foreign policy front.

The other day, I watched this British movie titled "The Trial of Tony Blair." (https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=58687.0 (https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=58687.0)) In short, the movie took place in 2010 when the UN created a war crimes tribunal for the Iraq war. The movie, while hilarious, was disgusting. There was such a hatred for Blair that it actually upset me. People really believe the man is a war criminal and some really want to see him dead. The movie had several scenes where there were attempts on Blair's life. It was so unfair. I recommend the movie (it is on Comcast's ON Demand) just so people can see how sick some Blair haters are.

Unless that was a pun on his very unfortunate name which I didn't recognize - having a virgin mind and all, my opinion of you has dropped considerably after this TexasGurl.

Not that I imagine you care or anything.

My interest in politics was really framed by the last 10 years and my progression from a Labour supporter and subsequent card carrier to a Conservative candidate this May is very much a reflection of my experiences at the hands of the policies of his administration. Yet as I said I won't miss him, because now the man who provided the economic muscle behind those policies with an increasingly passive party and membership at his feet will be in charge.

No. His application to join Labour should have been rejected.
