Title: Rate of coalition deaths increasing in Afghanistan
Post by: ○∙◄☻¥tπ[╪AV┼cVê└ on July 25, 2007, 03:56:23 AM
Let me first start with the differences between this and Iraq:

There is a real coalition in Afghanistan. Almost half of the deaths this year and last year were not Americans. This rate has been increasing. Afghanistan was actually connected to 9/11. The media has completely ignored Afghanistan.

Here are the statistics on those who gave their lives in this forgotten conflict:

Deaths by year
Year   US   Other   Total
2001   12         0         12     (Rate of 52 a year)
2002   48       20         68
2003   48         9         57
2004    52        6         58
2005    99      31        130
2006    98      93        191
2007    60      59        119     (Rate of 210 a year)

Deaths by country (Notice all of the countries that Republicans love to bash)
US 417
Canada 66
UK 64
German 21
Spain 21
France 9
Italy 9
Netherlands 9
Denmark 4
Romania 4
Estonia 2
Norway 2
Sweden 2
Australia 1
Czech 1
Finland 1
Portugal 1
South Korea 1

I approved Harper before he decided to step up Canadian involvement in the war.
