Edwards already failed, Hillary and Dean are too polarizing, Warner is a possibility for VP. Bayh couldn't win nationally and Obama wouldn't have enough experience.

Not entirely sure, if Edwards is elected to the Governorship or some other position until 2008 so he gets more experience then him probably, Obama would be good but 4 years in the Senate isn't much. It'd be between Richardson, Edwards and Warner. Out of those Warner would probably be the best candidate in the general, but he might be a better VP.
