Not really. More important was the importation of then French Feudal customs (including the Romance Medieval French language) into the Anglo-Saxon realm.

'Overthrowing Britain'? What does that even mean?

Also, that is one of the most ridiculous teleologies I have seen in a long time.

Not really. More important was the importation of then French Feudal customs (including the Romance Medieval French language) into the Anglo-Saxon realm.

Most words imported into English from French came in the 15th-18th centuries, not immediately after William the Conqueror.
