Title: Predict NC and MO Post by: MarkWarner08 on November 03, 2008, 05:30:43 PM I'm guessing Obama will barely win NC and MO.
Title: Re: Predict NC and MO Post by: Fmr. Pres. Duke on November 03, 2008, 05:31:25 PM Depends on turnout, I guess. I really can't predict either, but my gut says McCain wins both by a razor thin margin.

If you believe in swing-state momentum and that all the dominoes fall in the direction, blah blah, then Obama should sweep North Carolina, Missouri and Indiana - should do anyway. My prediction: NORTH CAROLINA - 49% (D) Obama 48% (R) McCain 2% Others MISSOURI - 50% (D) Obama 47% (R) McCain 2% Others INDIANA - 49% (D) Obama 48% (R) McCain 2% Others Something like that anyway. Title: Re: Predict NC and MO Post by: Jacobtm on November 03, 2008, 05:36:20 PM THe problem for Obama in NC is that over half of the state's registered black voters have already voted, and right now he probably has a small lead. He'll need to have convinced a good amount of white voters to switch their minds, or hope many Republicans stay home.
I'd give him a slight advantage in NC, but the slightest imaginable. MO, I have no idea. Title: Re: Predict NC and MO Post by: Franzl on November 03, 2008, 05:40:27 PM North Carolina to McCain by 2%
Missouri to Obama by 0.5% Title: Re: Predict NC and MO Post by: Fmr. Pres. I just look and see that NC historically underpolls for Republicans, so I will say NC is McCain's by 3 right now. Bush was leading by 8 and won by 13, Clinton led here in 92 and lost to Bush. So it's not a done deal in NC. Title: Re: Predict NC and MO Post by: Torie on November 03, 2008, 05:44:31 PM McCain gets both.
