Title: Possible Bush resignation after 2004?
Post by: Bandit3 the Worker on September 24, 2004, 01:44:55 PM
I was talking to somebody about this earlier. They say that if Bush wins the economy will collapse so spectacularly that there's a good chance he would resign in disgrace before finishing his term. Even if he doesn't, the Republicans will likely be utterly demolished in the next election after that.

In other words, Bush winning would really be a blessing in disguise.

It will be kind of like 1929.

Also if he wins, the Democrats would likely reform under populist causes.

I wouldn't guarantee these things will happen. Well, I know the economy will collapse, but other than that, I can't guarantee those things. But it is entirely conceivable. Much weirder things have happened in recent years, like the Clinton impeachment and the 2000 election fiasco.

Why would the economy completely collapse?  That's a ridiculous thing to assume.

Why would the economy completely collapse?

Because Bush is in charge of it, perhaps???

Your wishful thinking won't make your fantasy come true.  I think you need to talk to Nomo about what kind of medication he is taking.  You are in serious need of some for yourself.

Great logic.  You've got me convinced...

Oh, and keep in mind that if Bush "wins" it's because he cheated like last time, and I'm going to continue to not abide by it.

He ought to be in prison.

Well, you just proved right there why you think the economy will collapse under Bush.  Cause he "cheated", as if Gore wouldn't have gone the same route if positions were reversed.  Most people are over 2000 by now.

I'm rather new to this board, but I've noticed that unsubstantiated partisan tripe is usually met with heavy opposition...but keep preaching if you must.

Hey Bandit, was this the team that was supposed to win...?

()

From now on whenever a Dem posts about how Bush "cheated" I will simply respond with this sign.

I hope he gets expelled from the Senate and put on trial by 2006.

And what exactly would he get expelled/put on trial for?

George Bush clearly tracked his posts via the Patriot Act. He is, of course, imprisoned indefinitely without a trial or access to a lawyer.

His account is in troll heaven

As for bandit73, apparently, he didn't like my admonishment.  I had several complaints against some of his emotional diatribes and I asked him to tone it down.

At the bottom of your change profile screen there is a button that says delete account.  I assume this deletes your account, but I'm not trying it.
It's too bad that lots of people have been leaving lately

Except that it was the Republicans who reformed under populist causes.  After a fashion.
