50.5 - 49.5
2  Other Elections - Analysis and Discussion / Gubernatorial/Statewide Elections / Re: VA-GOV 2017: Primary result: Northam vs Gillespie (General election: Nov 7th) on: June 18, 2017, 08:39:57 pm
Certainly think Northam has the edge--not Safe Northam, or even Likely, but a very clear advantage for him. Would be very good for the party if we can sweep statewide again.

Tossup to Tilt D.

This. The last couple of elections have shaken my faith in the ability of Democrats to consistently win in VA, even though on paper they should be favored.

He's a liar and a fraud. The particulars are interesting, but not new.

13  General Politics / U.S. General Discussion / Re: Sen. Jeff Flake: Hillary's going to be President, let's confirm Garland on: October 23, 2016, 05:36:42 pm
I really do hope that the day after the election, Obama withdraws Garland's name. Garland would make a fine justice, but Obama shouldn't let the GOP stonewall for eight months, then confirm Garland just to prevent a potentially better nominee.
14  Presidential Elections - Analysis and Discussion / 2016 U.S. Presidential Election / Re: Will the election be officially called before 11PM EST? on: October 23, 2016, 04:01:00 pm

Hillary can't poll 45% in AZ, let alone win it.

That assumes she has to break 45% to win AZ. Something like 44-43-7-6 could do it for her.

There is already a thread for this poll.

Ah, well it hadn't been entered into the database. My mistake.
