Jay Rockefeller's former CoS claims Secretary of State Natalie Tennant met with DSCC leaders and made "quite the impression."

I've said for a while that West Virginia shouldn't be written off, especially if Tennant is the Democrat's nominee.

Tennant was in DC recently to talk to the EPA about coal. She also spoke at a UMWA rally earlier this month.

And to all Republicans on this forum: If Tennant runs, then wins, then runs for re-election in 2020, the GOP will have the option to use "Evict Tennant!" as a rallying cry. If that doesn't sway you to support her, I don't know what will.

Interview with Natalie Tennant, where she says she will announce her decision to run or not by the end of the month.

Hopefully this spurs a decent pollster to take a look at the race.

From a Natalie Tennant mailer:

Looks like she's trying to frame Capito as DC Republican, and herself as a WV Democrat. It's a very good strategy, one that is only helped by the shutdown situation.

If they couldn't beat Rahall with Obama on the ballot, they won't be able to beat him when he isn't on it.

But imagine how Rahall is feeling after last week's results.

In the counties with coal mines, McAuliffe/Northam/Herring performed just as bad, or worse in some cases, as Obama.

Nick Rahall isn't Terry McAuliffe. His whole career and campaign message is coal.

It's heavily rumored that Mooney STILL doesn't live in West Virginia. If he does, he at least spends most of his time in Maryland.

Mooney might be doing better than expected, but so is Nick Casey.

Isn't Capito pro-choice? I can't see abortion becoming an issue.

PolitiFact called bullsh!t on Rahall's claims of supporting Bush more than Obama.

Rahall is hitting Jenkins over, of all things, ObamaCare.

Resigning because you're so terrified of losing will look just as bad if not worse than just running a tough campaign and losing, so what's the point?

The man wins in landslides for 30 years, and now he's the most endangered incumbent in Congress through no fault of his own. Losing is going to be tough on him.

I haven't given up on Rahall yet. He could lose by ten or win by ten and I don't think anyone would be that surprised by either result due to the nature of WV-03.
