Something like a third of all Muslim boy's first name's is Mohammed.
You just don't get that level of uniformity in other religious/ethnic groups.

Muslims may have a similar tradition as Mexican Catholics.  In Mexico, the first born male is always (well, usually) named Jose, the second male is Jesus, and the first female is Maria, after the Holy Family.

Do you think I can swallow that?

I really don't see why not.  Christians naming their first children after the Holy Family, Muslims naming their first boys after their top prophet...what's so hard to swallow?

Always?
Every couple in Mexico does that?

My first post said always with "usually" in parentheses, but yes, naming the first kids after Holy Family is the norm in Mexico.  Why is a cultural trait like that so surprising to you?
