I thought liberals were supposed to be the compassionate ones.

Although I didn't agree with him on very much: after someone is dead, it is only proper and fitting that if you don't have anything nice to say, shut up.  And it is probably better to say something nice rather than nothing at all.

Otherwise, it only makes one appear crass and ill-bred.

About the only fair exception I would venture to make to this rule are cold-blooded killers.

From the trash the other posters have spewed on this thread you're going after DWTL? His comment, though irrelevant, was by far one of the mildest things said here thus far.

Because DWTL needs to be reminded of this fact, in case he forgets it for a few seconds.

My other comments are for the other posters who fall under its guidelines.  No need to single out people there, because they're not so easily singled out.

It must make him feel better or something.  Frankly, I've never really said anything or done anything to him and he loves to attack me for no reason.  Not that I care or should care so don't worry about it.

Your comment comparing this to Jon Corzine's injury had nothing to do with the topic at hand and was rather crude and despicable.

That being said, your comment was nowhere near as despicable as most of the posts on this thread, so maybe you can talk some solace in that fact.
