If they couldn't beat Rahall with Obama on the ballot, they won't be able to beat him when he isn't on it.

Yeah, Cuccinelli pretty much deluged coal country in VA with ads about how McAuliffe is anti-coal, which McAuliffe didn't do much to refute. But Rahall has decades of service proving his dedication to coal.

Is McGeehan not a threat to Capito?

McGeehan has dropped to a legislative race per RRH. Not that he was noticeable before.

Damn. Looks like this is one race the GOP won't be throwing away.

Hopefully Tennant can make this competitive. SD is already ceded to the GOP, it would suck to have to give away another.

I haven't followed this race too closely this cycle so far, is he polling really that terribly?

Well Sabato gives McConnell the same odds of getting re-elected as he does to Merkley and Warner, so don't take it too seriously.

Resigning because you're so terrified of losing will look just as bad if not worse than just running a tough campaign and losing, so what's the point?

Well if a D internal says you're up by double digits, and an R internal says you're down by double digits, I'm gonna be a moderate hero and say it's a toss up.
