Desticking this due to overall lack of commentary on the candidate in question.

I thought it was based on polling, not commentary. If it's the latter, Gabbard and Yang should definitely have stickied threads, lol.

Despite Pete being openly gay, having the word "butt" in his last name, and literally having a husband, it seems he will never surpass Marco Rubio as the most lavenous candidate to ever run for president. I mean, he hasn't even been photographed at a foam party!

He's becoming a caricature of a corporate neoliberal candidate at this point.

Heaven forbid Buttigieg fundraise from people who actually work for a living.

Yes, where would America be without hard working lobbyists? Roll Eyes

Ah, the old poll-the-people-and-then-decide-my-position trick. Buttigieg's gonna have to pack up his bags and head back to South Bend soon, it's over.

At this point he's starting to make Kamala Harris look like a beacon of principle and conviction. Very disappointing. I've obviously never been one to rule out supporting anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders, but at least have enough integrity to be honest about what you're running on, not do a 180 to satiate donors, because of poll numbers, or to compete for some "lane" that some pundit arbitrarily decided has ostensibly opened up for you.

Quote
Gabriel Greene, a long-distance truck driver whose son was a football prospect, said he had not heard of Mr. Buttigieg.

As a reporter ticked off some details about him — 37 years old, a mayor, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, married to a man — Mr. Greene interrupted.

“You say he’s married to a man?” he said. “He lost my vote. I believe in Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.’’

Roll Eyes

Many Atlas lefties think Democrats should sacrifice suburban "neoliberals" at the altar in order to futilely chase after #populists Purple heart like this guy and racist Kentucky Hill People, LOL.

Thank god these people have zero power in the Democratic Party and never will. We really would end up being a permanent minority.

Pete has nothing to be ashamed of. He was supposed to be an irrelevant and forgotten 0%er like Eric Swalwell or Michael Bennet. Instead he became a legitimate force in the primary and probably even won the first contest.

With that said, he clearly has no path to the nomination whatsoever. His candidacy has run its course and he should promptly drop out while still on a sort of high note.

Pelosi had f**k all to do with Democrats gaining seats in 2018.

True. She also had f**k all to do with Democrats losing seats in 2010 and 2014.
