Why not also include the regional senator? Or ask the regional senator to do this instead of the SoIA? By being a regional senator, shouldn't you sometimes be in touch with your region? Yes? Not everyone is allowed to lose touch like me. Wink

Yes, I agree PiT. I am indifferent to who does it, but if we made the regional senator do it, we may finally distinguish the duties of regional and at large senators. Food for thought.

SoIA or regional senators is fine with me. Would the regional senators have an issue with being given this responsibility? Either way, I do agree we need to make it one or the other so responsibilities are not confused.

Why must you be so declarative on subsequent reponses to my post, that I have yet to have a chance to respond to myself? Tongue

Because a) I sometimes don't pay attention and b) it took you too long to respond and I am notoriously impatient. Tongue

And yes, let's make it in the regional executive's thread.

It's fine if we ask the president to make some sort of statement in his signing that it should be passed along to the regions, but I wouldn't really think offloading the responsibility to tell the senators to tell the regions is necessary. It seems like one step too many. The regional senators should pay enough attention to notify themselves, not reply on the president to tell them.

I am beginning to agree with the others that say that without teeth, this bill really isn't necessary. It is almost like passing a bill that requires the president to sign bills.

I just don't see all of this as necessary. The regional senators should inform the appropriate people without the president telling the SoIA and then the SoIA telling the regional senators. Maybe it's just me though.

Let's just vote this down. I don't see a need for it, especially without any teeth to it, and it's destined to be removed via ominous bill in the future.

x Duke

I'm going to sign this to give it a shot after I nearly vetoed it, mainly because I feel like we need to work on our regional communication, and that is a goal of mine.

With all of that said, I fully expect this to be repealed in the next ominous(on purpose this time Wink ) bill we propose that repeals a bunch of laws. But hey, let's give it a shot.
