No - opposing cultural appropriation (as far as I understand from my friends in the uni anti-racism society) is about opposing the misuse of aspects of minority cultures (I'm probably wording this very badly but oh well) by ignorant westerners, which fits in pretty neatly with the whole left-wing thing about supporting cultural minorities against western exploitation.
