Hasn't Ryan done this in every election cycle?

I really don't see why he'd want to stay in the House. I understand not challenged Kasich in 2014, and Portman would have been tough but he has to eventually give one of the offices a shot right?

I haven't really followed this shadow primary in Ohio compared to the other races in Illinois, or Maryland but the impression I seem to have is that the Democratic field is relatively crap, and they're probably going to lose the Governors race.

Is this correct?

I hope some junior staffer is given the fun job of doing opposition research on Kucinich.

Surely with his Trumpism he'll be DOA for the primaries right?

Usual panic from someone with virtually no experience in internal Ohio democratic party politics but....

Is there any chance Kucinch could win? I assume'd Cordray would have both national, and state wide support secured, along with the money/organisational clout that bring. I'm hoping that Kucinch support is purely based on his name ID, and that he's doing this to make money afterwards, and remain relevant.

I would have been upset if they'd nominated him for state office in say 2010, but like the Democrats really don't have an excuse to run a pro-Trump/russian stooge in 2018 because 'muh porgressive'

I would.

Would the Ohio Democrats in this board even vote for kucinich in the general?

I'd vote third party/write-in/skip the race.

I would have to put industrial-grade clamps on my nose for his Ukraine comments, but in the current atmosphere any Democrat is better than any Republican.

Interesting to get all three... I asked as Kucinich is very close to the type of 'leftist' candidate I couldn't vote for, but it's easy to sit 3,000 miles and say how you'd vote, and not have to live with the decision.
