DISTRICTS ARE NOT REGIONS!  REGIONS ARE NOT DISTRICTS!  DISTRICTS ARE NOT REGIONS!  REGIONS ARE NOT DISTRICTS!

Why look everyone, it's another irridentialist Midwest map!

And, what's over here?  My goodness, it's a map that keeps enough regions intact that it should pass that incidentally keeps the Midwest in one district and divides the South up a lot!

(Governors of the Northeast and Mideast: I kindly request you ignore the District of Columbia, Delaware, and New Jersey)

I also introduce the following maps into discussion:

Apparently we really need to hurry this up.  Let's have one more day to submit any more maps we wish to and then hold a preliminary vote to winnow it down to, say, two or three.

I vote disapprove of both of the previous maps.  Though they're both decent (Jesus does an admirable job making his crazy, in fact), their districts are not as balanced as possible, which I believe is the point of redistricting.

I officially propose this map:

It's a bit less hypocritical than my other map, and is ideally balanced (or else I'd've probably introduced one of the maps made by another forum member Tongue)

Okay, I could support that map.

Let's see here.  I either have the opportunity to be emo and violate my own prescripts on redistricting or send a big fat "I hate you all" to the forum.

Hmm.

Well, presuming all the Governors stay evil and do not change their votes, my vote is as follows:

1) Approve
2) Approve
3) Disapprove
4) Disapprove
5) Disapprove

However, if by some miracle the governors come to their senses and see that maps 1, 4, and 5 do not hold to the actual purpose of redistricting:

1) Disapprove
2) Approve
3) Approve
4) Disapprove
5) Disapprove

Yeah, that numbering system is fine.

Maybe I'm finnicky but I won't support ANY map where the boundaries aren't continuous.

Why, yes, that's not the purpose of redistricting, so you are being finicky!

My argument, on the other hand, is merely "well thought out" and "inflexible in nature".  I'm certainly not finicky at all Cheesy
