CA PrimR: Survey USA: Santorum down only two to Romney

Can't see how he'd survive a Romney media assault here, but interesting nonetheless.

More than that, there's the question of how one can use a poll taken today to predict an outcome for a primary that's four months from now.   Who the heck knows what the race will look like in four months?  Four months ago, Cain was battling Romney for first place in national polls.

The poll is more interesting as a generic indicator of the breadth of Santorum's surge.
