You don't remember the exit poll stories from the primaries, do you?  The first exit poll stories after 5pm are very useless, but they add more and more detail over the next hour or two.

Oh noes! FOX News is releasing their Exit Polls. Its pretty much the same as CNN's released moments earlier. I'll try and find a link in a little while, as I have to go out for a while and get some election day supplies. I'm surprised FOX News didn't ask any questions in their Exit Polling, regarding whether or not voters are concerned about Obama's religion, ethnicity or "socialistic" agenda.

I don't think the networks actually do their own exit polls.  They all get data from the same exit polling consortium, but just release different bits of data at different times.  There's already a bunch of stuff from Fox News and others in the exit polls thread:

First polls close in 20 minutes...  First Electoral Votes are tallied in 80 minutes...
Are they going to start counting right away, or will they wait for the parts of IN and KY west of the time zone line?

And if so, why not just close polls across the states at the same time? Huh

They'll start counting the parts of IN and KY that have closed right away, and the first few precincts should report by at least 30 minutes after the hour.  However, the networks will not release their "topline" exit poll numbers on either state, or call either state, until voting has closed in the whole state.

Drudge was right about PA exit poll showing Obama with a ~15% lead there.  Obama also leads MO exit poll by about 8% and FL exit poll by about 1%.

Gawker was clearly wrong.  CNN and other news organizations have posted the PA exit poll on their websites, and they show Obama at about +15% in PA exits.

Did North Dakota change their polling hours from the last election or something?  I thought they were still supposed to be voting at this hour.

How is opebo going to explain tonight's results?  Wasn't American racism supposed to prevent Obama from winning by this much?

So wait a minute.  At least as of this hour, it looks like the Gore/Kerry state (that is, states where the Democratic nominee won in either 2000, 2004, or both) where Obama's victory margin was narrowest was Iowa.  Not PA.  Not NH.  Not NM.  Not MN.  Iowa.  Did anybody see this coming?
