Especially in the 21st century. According to the 2016 presidential election exit polls, 52% of white women voted for Republican Donald Trump and Mike Pence.

In the 2017 Virginia gubernatorial election, Republican Ed Gillespie won 51% of white women despite losing to Democrat Ralph Northam.

Why are white women trending more Republican lately in some parts of America? Has it always been so?
A lot of white female liberals are upset that their fellow white women "betrayed" them and voted Republican/conservative.

Are white women like Taylor Swift, Kate Upton, etc. "allies" or "enemies" to people of color, and WOC (women of color)?

Could it simply be that white people in general are trending Republican?

also, asking if rich white female celebrities are allies or enemies to WOC is a bit dumb.

Why? Some people want to know if they are allies or not. All you hear on Vogue, Teen Vogue, social media, Twitter/Tweeter/Tweetface (as Patriots head coach Bill Belichick calls it, is that "Swift voted Republican, Upton is a privileged white girl, etc.

These generalizations have effect.

The exit polls have Romney beating Obama among white women by 14 points, while Trump only won them by 9 points.  So they trended Democratic in 2016, not Republican.

If that is the case, why all the uproar over "They voted for Trump over Hillary!!"
