Even if you buy that NH is a dark blue state (not gonna bother having that debate), isn't it a given that gubernatorial races are less partisan/polarizing in many states? There are obvious exceptions, like Wisconsin and North Carolina, but New England seems much more swingy in terms of gubernatorial races than it is nationally. If Scott and Baker are heavily favored for re-election in the bluest New England states, it would make sense that Sununu should win re-election if he's popular.
