Tbh Rubio, rather understandably seems to have given up on the Senate. Unlike Cruz or Paul he never used it to crusade his points, and he's not in the mould of a senate dealer.

Rubio was never going to be a long-time Senator, especially after the Tea Party forced him to come out against his own immigration bill in 2013. He was just using it as a launchpad to the Presidency.

Ugh why is Grayson beating Murphy in the polls?

Yeah, he's more liberal, but if Democrats want a Democrat to win then just VOTE FOR MURPHY.

Agh

The FDP doesn't understand and will never understand how to win. If Murphy is nominated and wins the general, it will be in spite of the incompetence of the FDP, not because of any actions they may take to help him in the GE.

GOP wants Carson (yes, that Carson) to make a late entry.

The new FL-13 is actually slightly less democratic than the new FL-26, which most analysts see as competitive. The Republicans were going to have the popular mayor of St. Petersburg run, but he won't do it. It's pretty much Jolly or bust at this point.

Jolly says he won't vote for TRUMP, CLC says he will but doesn't seem enthusiastic about it:

Lol, at this rate even Grayson would probably beat these guys. I think it might be time to move this race to Leans D.

How is not being wholeheartedly behind TRUMP a bad thing? I think it helps these candidates.

What are the Republicans going to attack him for? Murphy was a Republican up until mid-2012 and supported Mitt Romney in the GOP primary that year.

He's basically what a sane Republican congressman would look like if such a thing existed at this point.

He didn't endorse Romney in the general, did he?

Rubio lost his home state primary to a comedian by 18 points. Total lightweight.

Of course, as a Murphy supporter, I'm not exactly an unbiased source here.

Either he runs for reelection or he doesn't, is it so complicate to decide?

It is when you would prefer to do one thing and your party is screaming at you to do something else.

^^ Graham will be primaried. He only got 56% against a bunch of no-names in 2014, and always polled terribly in SC presidential primary polls.

Isn't the House seat Crist is running for a safe D seat? Why would Jolly volunteer to be slaughtered there?

Obama '12 carried it 54.6-43.9. That might seem like a lot, but Curbelo's district, which is considered to be competitive, is Obama '12 55.4-43.9. So while Crist would probably be a favorite given that he carried Pinellas County, which is where the district is, as a republican, as a democrat, and as an independent, it wouldn't be completely hopeless.

I endorsed Crist for governor in 2014, but only because Rick Scott was utterly terrible. I'd vote for Jolly over Crist in a heartbeat. I don't believe Crist has any real political beliefs at all.

Murphy really isn't a shoe-in, Grayson could win.

And I could hit the lottery tomorrow. But it's not gonna happen.

The polls show most voters still undecided. I know it's fun to look at Clinton v. Sanders, but that's a totally different race.

Beruff challenges Rubio to pledge to serve a full 2nd Senate term, no governor 2018 or Prez 2020:

So, with Jolly out and possibility of Rubio not getting into the race, who is the frontrunner? Lopez-Cantera, DeSantis or Beruff?

DeSantis is the best funded, I believe. (someone check me on that)

Hmmm..........

Four Days, Rubio. Four Days.

(Not like I care much. My endorsement has always been and always will be for Patrick Murphy)

Why would Florida want a Senator who will go absentee again in 3 years? lol

Beruff has challenged Rubio to pledge to serve a full term, let's see if Rubio makes the pledge before jumping to conclusions.
