Let's take a look at the Amazing Senate Primary Turnout Map! In Missouri, Republicans won by a silm margin of 53%-47%, a great sign for McCaskill! In Washington State, Dems cast 58% of the votes in the Jungle Primary to Republicans 37%. Still need some more results before coloring MI.

Why isn’t New York colored Red?

Both Senate Primaries were uncontested, New York exempts uncontested races from the primary entirely. I'll get a makeshift figure during the gubernatorial primaries in September.

Then why did you color Virginia red, when Tim Kaine didn’t have a primary, because he ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination?

I did an alternate calculation using the turnout in the various house primaries. Same for Utah.

Wow, I kinda want Jones just to win the special race just for the novelty of it lol.

Would be interesting to see if she even gets sworn in for that month-and-a-half term.

LOL, beautiful flawless Dino Rossi at only 43%.

Atlas and the pundits told me he'd make the race a toss up, maybe even lean R. How can this be?!

If only Greedo was here. lol

See, this is why we shouldn't have banned him.

Potentially Yes. But "apparent winner" means just that - this candidate appears to have won, but some small error/legal challenge/whatever could change it.

Updating the Senate Primary Turnout Map, first I'll note that Missouri narrowed from 53-47 R to 52-48 R overnight. Second, in Michigan, where I'll use the gubernatorial numbers as there isn't an indication Stabenow was listed on the ballot, Dems won 53-47.

I will first note for the record that as shown by the SOS, Stabenow did have a nominal primary against write-ins. The turnout margin is virtually the same as the governor's race, so the map posted earlier remains accurate. https://miboecfr.nictusa.com/election/results/2018PRI_CENR.html

Also, it's official: We have different nominees in MI-13 Regular and MI-13 Special:

13th District Representative in Congress 2 Year Term (1) Position Files In WAYNE County   1/1 Counties
Votes   Percent

Tlaib, Rashida   27,803   31.18%

Wild, Bill   12,589   14.12%

Democratic
Young, II, Coleman A.   11,162   12.52%

Total Votes:   89,179

13th District Representative in Congress Partial Term Ending 01/02/2019 (1) Position Files In WAYNE County   1/1 Counties
Votes   Percent
Democratic
Conyers, Ian   9,740   11.23%

Democratic
Jones, Brenda   32,727   37.75%

Democratic
Wild, Bill   13,152   15.17%

--------------------

We now know the (apparent) outcomes of all the primaries aside from a few contests for 2nd place in Washington which could take several days or even a week to know.

huh, Kerry Bentivolio was running in MI-11 and finished last.

I still don't understand why that district wasn't competitive when he was the Republican nominee.
He did lose the special election.

Also, while a 51-44 Republican win in the regular election isn't exactly competitive, it is closer than what we got in 2010, 2014, and 2016.
