the fire station in my city caught fire early Sunday morning causing substantial damage and destroyed a fire truck.  The fire station was not completely destroyed but may have structural damage. Although they did save the other two fire trucks that was in the station. Apparently it was the fire truck it's self that caught fire. I'm going to ride my bike by the station tomorrow and check it out, it is less than a mile away.

I need to start exercising again get back out on my bike and ride for a few miles to start. My friend who I would bike with, his fiancee had a baby in late March and I haven't been out since, stupid babies. Well actually I went on a 12 mile causal bike ride through Detroit on May 31st but that is it. I'm getting fat, well I have been fat for years and years but I have been slowly inching up from. Last Thursday I was at the doctor and I weighed 221 pounds. I'm only 5' 8.5". I'm probably about 40 pounds over weight. I probably should weigh under 170 but 180 would probably be good, since I'm not sure how accurate BMI is. It's all the soda and pop I drink. I'm going to go for a 6 mile bike ride tomorrow, maybe more but I might start at 6 and go up from there. Lucky for me there are two bike paths by my house that I can ride. I would prefer to ride my bike outside than hit the gym, plus I don't really have much money. I kind of dread exercising but after you are done it does feel good to get out there and ride.

well I actually went out and rode my bike, I went 6 miles. Although about half of that was casual riding but it's a start since I'm so out of shape and fat and haven't rode in a a while. Rather proud of my self, It feels good to get out and exercise.

Well I was able to go kayaking. While wading against some rapids, I'm pretty sure my cell phone got water logged. Later, when taking off my beater, my sunglasses--which were hooked on the front--fell into the water and I lost them forever. Second pair recently. Tongue Later, while pushing myself under a bridge that had about three feet of space between the water and the ceiling, I fought the current and ended up capsizing of sorts. Had to drain out the kayak on shore.

Today, I'd be going to a baseball game with a similar group of people if it weren't for, again, fascism which has proceeded to block me at every turn. Had to fight tooth and nail to go kayaking for God's sake and I can't get in a car with some friends to see a damned baseball game. This is, of course, regardless of the fact that in a few months I'll be in college and no reasonable person can expect to know who I'm in a car with at any given moment.

where did you go kayaking at? I've been kayaking several times mostly down the Huron river west of Ann Arbor. It's a nice river a little shallow at points doesn't really have rapids except right at the end part. I have never flipped over though. Sucks you phone got wet, my friend has a special plastic waterproof case/bag for stuff that we put our phones and stuff in.

Going on the Detroit Critical Mass bike ride tonight. Unfortunately the friends I was going to go with bailed on me. I should have a fun time by myself though. Also it looks like it is going to rain again like last month, which isn't that bad since it keeps you cool.

So I have a friend who is kind of racist against black people, I really need to talk to him about it and get him to change. I hate this because I'm very non confrontational and rarely criticize people or call them out, but it has to be done.

I found another bike ride in Detroit that rides every Monday which is cool because Critical mass is awesome but it's only once a month. This ride is called the Slow Roll and it is a 12-15 mile ride round Detroit with a different route every week. It starts at a bar/restaurant with a different one every week and they food and drink specials there. They only ride at around 10mph so it is a nice ride not a race. So I will be checking it out tonight, should be a good time, hopefully we don't get rain. There is suppose to be at least 200-250 people there so it will be a little smaller than Critical mass ride which is around 300+

Just got back from the Slow Roll bike ride in Detroit. So many people over a 1,000 people just riding around Detroit. The event is getting almost too big. It was 200 people when I first went back on July 8th, although there was the threat of rain that week. Last week with the threat of rain it was 600 which was down from 800 the week before. It is always a good time, the city needs to get the street lights working though.

So I went up to Rite Aid drug store to buy some headache medicine. I also bought a candy bar and some of those Halloween pumpkin candies. I ended up not getting charged for the candy bar. I didn't realize this till I got home, but it was only a half mile away. So I went back and paid for the candy bar. I think the cashier thought I was crazy for coming back and paying for the candy bar. She did say something about thanks for being honest and something about karma. I don't think I would have been able to eat the candy bar if I didn't pay for it.  Also When I was leaving the store originally I thought the total was too low but with the Rite Aid card you get discounts so I thought noting of it. The only reason I checked the receipt was to see how much of a discount I got on the headache medicine, and I noticed the receipt only had 2 items on it.

I'm addicted to soda and sugar and sweet sugary drinks. I'm seriously drinking a gallon of Kool aid right now, it's about half gone. Oh it tastes so good but is so bad for me. I love you soda.

So I was up north in Petoskey Michigan visiting a friend of mine. On the last day we went out bowling and and some drinks. We left the bowling alley at 1am and decided to hit Taco Bell, we got a quarter of a mile down the road and my friend was pulled over. They claimed he crossed the white line on the side of the road. I don't recall any real swerving from him though. They asked if he had been drinking and he had, they had him do some tests then they breathalyer tested him and he was at .20 so he was arrested. They breathalyer tested me and I blew a .062 so I was able to drive my friends car home so they didn't have to impound it. My friend had 2 more drinks than me and didn't seem that drunk he blew a .20 though, I think he is ed. He must of had more drinks at home before we went bowling than I realized, but we were at the bowling alley for 3.5 hours. I feel really bad because I should not have let him drive. I even felt uncomfortable driving his car home at .062. Me and my friends dad bailed him out the next day, today. He really can't lose his license since he needs it to not only get to work but for work, he delivers pizzas for a living.
