Shelley Moore Capito won't say how she'd vote on #grahamcassidy, shakes her head and lifts up her hands as she walks into McConnell office

And so it died, not with a bang but with a whimper.

Well, this is new. Trump makes up a story about Cochran being hospitalized as the reason why they didn't have the votes to pass Graham-Cassidy.

As today is the reconciliation deadline and the Senate isn't even in session, I request that this thread be locked and unstickied. TrumpCare is dead.

It should be unstickied, but locking doesn't seem necessary (unless it miraculously grows to 2000 replies).  If someone wants to add a few more things on this topic, this thread is as good a place as any.

Trumpcare will never be truly dead until Trump is out of office or Democrats take at least one chamber. This thread could use some revisiting in a year or so (depending on what Republicans do regarding reconciliation).

Alexander talking about his and Murray's deal on the Senate floor right now. Says he has 22 cosponsors, 11 from each party.

Republicans include Alexander, Rounds, Graham, McCain, Cassidy, Collins, Ernst, Murkowski, Burr, Corker, Isakson, and Grassley.

Nothing that gets posted here is going to have any effect on legislation, and all talk on individual mandate repeal is probably fine just going in the tax bill thread since it's part of the tax bill and not a healthcare bill. If healthcare comes back then yeah that'll be another story, but there's no immediate indication of that, and right now this is kind of a waste of a sticky.
