He shares the same IP as Coburn in 2012, which makes the following exchange rather hilarious:

Now that DWTL and Keytone are gone this guy may be my new favorite.  Totally a FF.

Thank you.  That is very kind.  If you could tone down some of the racial bigotry in a few of your posts, the feeling would be quite mutual.

So besides the amusing part is that conclusive evidence of a clone?  Good but not a smoking gun type?  Just a quirky coincidence?

It's either the same person, or two people posting from the same internet connection.  Who apparently don't know each other.  And who apparently live in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Back in the days when I used to admin on another political type board, (my god, has it been 9 or 10 years already), the same IP generally meant (where dialup was still the norm, or it was just a one computer cable connection, no wireless routers), the same computer...some people explained it as siblings on the same computer, but you knew it was the same computer.

Is that still the case?  Or could it be multiple computers from one wireless router?  Or has IP masking/proxy become so good that one can imitate someone else's IP?

I was going to wait a while until I ran some tests before I was obligated to posts this in public, but yes:  JSojourner shares his IP with KeeptheChange and Coburn, and it's a private IP so there's no chance that they're all different connections...

Sorry to say.

How long have the moderators suspected this to be the case?

I can't speak for Alcon, but I only discovered it earlier today when I was asked if KtC's IP matched anybody else's.  I matched it to Coburn, but it wasn't until I traced the location that I figured JSo was behind it all.

I've checked the locations before, but never thought to match them together (which is my bad) and never would have thought of checking for a match to JSoj...ever.

Yeah, I get you.  Do the older posts between the suspects match up, or is it a recent thing?
