I don't know if I would have worded it this way, but I agree

Its looking like a democratic year, why would anyone jump to be the number 2 man on the currently floundering ship?

obviously most politicians are opportunistic.

if the gop's prognosis improves, im sure there be at least a couple of sane democrats that would consider being mccain's running mate if asked.

How much it would have to improve for that to happen would seem to be the question.
